Internship description:

This entry level position as a Yard Technician is an excellent introduction to our construction and agriculture equipment dealerships. Prior employees in this position have advanced to mechanic, parts and sales department positions.  An added benefit of starting here is the opportunity to work in our other stores located in Fresno, Merced, Sacramento and Reno. For employees attending school in those areas, part-time work may be available.  

The following select Yard Technician duties reflect the safety attitude critical to the job:

 

Yard Technician duties and responsibilities:

  • Clean and help organize yard
  • Wash machines
  • Offload trucks
  • Organize machine inventory
  • Put teeth/ edges on buckets with company provided tools
  • Sweep yard with Bobcat sweeper
  • Sand/touch up units when necessary

 

Technical

  • Pulls all sold equipment and accessories per instruction- wash, check fluids, and tag with customer name.  Stage in the sold area.
  • Inspects each returning demo equipment for damage, missing parts, operating instructions, and/or safety decals, reporting these to the Inventory Supervisor or Service Manager.
  • After thoroughly cleaning the equipment (pressure washer and detergent), advise the Inventory Supervisor of the hours on the machine, and checks all fluid levels and filters before returning to inventory.
  • Assists in assembly of new equipment as needed with company provided tools.
  • Thoroughly understands pressure washer operation and comply with safety instructions.
  • Responsible for performing routine maintenance on pressure washer and keeping the wash bay area clean.
  • Operates loading and unloading of equipment (forklifts etc.) in a safe manner. (must be certified)
  • May work with Sales or Rental Supervisor on inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Must Haves

  • Must use company provided PPE for your safety and follow all the safety policies & procedures.
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

 

Starting pay: $12.50 per hour

Hours: 8-hour workday

Work Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
